Cosmo Sarson – Breakdancing Jesus on Water (Blau)<\/h2>\n

Cosmo Sarson, geboren und aufgewachsen in London, begann als Kind mit Graffiti und Breakdance. Er begann 1983 mit dem Breakdance. Er studierte Bildende Kunst an der Byam Shaw School of Art. Anschlie\u00dfend erg\u00e4nzte er seine Graffiti-F\u00e4higkeiten um traditionelle k\u00fcnstlerische Disziplinen und erzielte erste Erfolge.<\/p>\n

Seine Arbeit:<\/h3>\n

Cosmo Sarson arbeitete mit \u00d6len und Gouache und begann, Themen im Zusammenhang mit der Hip-Hop-Kultur zu erforschen. Dies f\u00fchrte zu fast trompe-l’oeil-Bildern von Breakdancern, Skateboardern und BMX-Fahrern. Er h\u00f6rte 1997 auf zu malen und h\u00e4ngte seine Pinsel nach einer Einzelausstellung in der Regents Street an den Nagel. Bis 2009 blieb er der Kunstszene fern, wo er mit den damals relativ unbekannten K\u00fcnstlern Nick Walker und Ben Eine befreundet war.<\/p>\n

Zwischen 97 und 09 fand er Arbeit als Art Director in der Werbung und dann als Szenek\u00fcnstler am Filmset. Er malte alles, von gro\u00dfen landschaftlichen Hintergr\u00fcnden bis hin zu alten Meisterwerken, die als Requisiten h\u00e4ngen, von Wandmalereien bis hin zu Graffiti. Sein inzwischen ber\u00fchmtes Gem\u00e4lde „Breakdancing Jesus“ war eine der Ideen, die Cosmo Sarson in den 12 dunklen Jahren hatte, als er kein Atelier hatte.<\/p>\n

Nach den Studentenunruhen in Gro\u00dfbritannien wandte sich Cosmo Sarson den Bildern von Polizei und Randalierern zu. Er begann mit einer Reihe von Arbeiten, die die Anarchie der Randalierer und die Verzweiflung der Polizei darstellen. Ein Gro\u00dfteil der Serie basierte auf dramatischen Fotografien. Der Fotojournalist David Hoffman gab Cosmo Sarson die Erlaubnis, mit seinen Aufnahmen der Studentenunruhen zu arbeiten. Einige von Cosmos aufruhrbezogenen Arbeiten wurden auf ungew\u00f6hnliche Materialien gemalt. Dazu geh\u00f6rt eine Reihe von Polizeikr\u00e4ften, die auf reflektierendem Material mit Hi-Viz-Effekt gemalt wurden. Oftmals beziehen sich die Materialien wie Hoodies, Denim und Trainingsanz\u00fcge auf das Thema.<\/p>\n

Der britische K\u00fcnstler sorgte mit seinem riesigen 28 Fu\u00df gro\u00dfen Wandbild von „Breakdancing Jesus – the Salute“ f\u00fcr Schlagzeilen, das mit \u00fcber 1 Kilo Goldglitter an einer prestigetr\u00e4chtigen Bristol-Wand geschaffen wurde.<\/p>\n
